Reverend Dr. Brandon Ingram
The Rev. Dr. Brandon Ingram has served as pastor of Shiloh AME Zion Church in Grover, North Carolina, since October 2022. A devoted pastor, husband, and father, he brings a commitment to faith, service, and lifelong learning to his ministry.
His ministry reflects a deep dedication to preaching the Gospel, shepherding God’s people, and encouraging spiritual growth through worship, service, and Christian education.
Early Life & Education
Born and raised in Rockingham, North Carolina, Dr. Ingram is the son of Melvin Larry Ingram Sr. and the Rev. Dr. Janice Ingram. He attended Richmond County Public Schools before continuing his education at Winston-Salem State University, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in therapeutic recreation and accounting.
Call to Ministry
Dr. Ingram answered the call to preach in 2003, delivering his trial sermon that July at Wayman Chapel AME Zion Church in Hamlet, North Carolina, under the leadership of his mother. Recognizing the importance of theological preparation, he pursued further study at Hood Theological Seminary in Salisbury, North Carolina. He earned his Master of Divinity degree, graduating magna cum laude in May 2010, and later completed his Doctor of Ministry degree at the same institution.
Pastoral Ministry
Bishop George Walker appointed Dr. Ingram to his first pastoral charge at Ashley Chapel AME Zion Church in Rockingham. Before coming to Shiloh, he also served as pastor of Mount Nebo AME Zion Church in Blacksburg, South Carolina; Ebenezer AME Zion Church in Camden, South Carolina; and Pineville AME Zion Church in Rock Hill, South Carolina. These appointments have provided opportunities to serve congregations across North and South Carolina.
Professional Life
Alongside his pastoral ministry, Dr. Ingram has enjoyed an accounting career spanning more than two decades. He is also a licensed real estate agent in North Carolina.
Family & Personal Life
Dr. Ingram is married to Mrs. Temica Taylor Ingram of Indian Land, South Carolina, and together they share two children, Jalin and Laila. He has two brothers, the Rev. Melvin Ingram Jr. and Edwin Ingram. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his family, working out, reading, watching movies, and listening to music.
